Aww, Becky, I'm SO delighted that you did the MeMe! :-) I love your answer for "what I'm not wearing..." I suppose I'm not wearing cheese either... :-) You rock!
I completely agree with your comments about mental illness - the patients I spoke to described exactly what you said with regard to the feeling of heightened appreciation for the moments that are livable... My assigned patient, in particular (who actually killed someone while in a delirious state and can't remember the incident) was so focused on the tiny steps towards being able to "live again," as she put it - which really made me so thankful for all the things I do every day without thinking what milestones they are - being able to do my laundry, go to the grocery store, have a job, have my freedom...
(I love technology, too - it's so awesome chatting back and forth this way!)
